Enchanted Forest Nursery opened its doors in June 2006 as the first private nursery in Erskine. From small beginnings of having 5 children registered on Day 1, we have gone from strength to strength and continuously strive on a daily basis to improve the services we provide. Enchanted Forest Thornliebank opened in April 2010, Enchanted Forest Greenock opened in March 2011 and Enchanted Forest Inverkip opened in March 2012.
‘Word of Mouth’ has worked wonders for Enchanted Forest Nurseries and has placed us in the words of parents as a ‘home from home’ and 'extended family' for all children as well as their families. Our low staff turn-over is testament that Enchanted Forest Nursery is also a ‘great’ place to work. In October 2009, we became accredited to ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). ISO 9001 is an internationally-recognised standard for quality management, ensuring that we have proven processes in place to meet the requirements of our parents and children. On an annual basis we are externally audited to ensure our QMS accreditation can continue. Only 5% of businesses in the United Kingdom have achieved this standard and very few nurseries! We take our social responsibility seriously and as such Enchanted Forest Nurseries operates as an Eco School. We assist many charities locally including, Cash for Kids, Comic Relief, and Children in Need. In 2012, EFN have been supporting have pledged their full support to Cash for Kids as our main charity for the year - each nursery will be working on a monthly action plan to raise funds for those children less fortunate than the ones on our care.
Children are welcome to attend Enchanted Forest Nurseries from 6 weeks to school age. Our Enchanted Forest Out-of-School Care at Inverkip cares for children of Primary School age.

Enchanted Forest Nurseries close between Christmas and New Year to allow for essential maintenance each year, as well as giving our staff some well-earned rest. Sickness or absence from the nursery does not qualify for a reduction on fees.
Enchanted Forest Nurseries takes great care and pride in the staff we employ. All staff have completed Protection of Vulnerable Groups (formerly Disclosure) checks, medical references and have valid references from previous employers. Staff are either registered or in the process of registering with the Scottish Social Services Council. It is the duty of our staff to provide the best possible care for each child and family. We feel proud of our low staff turnover and the fact that our staff are happy in their role – they enjoy what they do and our staff are the key to the success of Enchanted Forest Nurseries...... many of our staff have succeeded in internal promotions.
We are registered with the Care Inspectorate (formely Care Commission) who regulate and inspect all care services. The Care Inspectorate inspect our services on an annual unannounced basis, at EFN, we value their feedback. We follow their guidance as outline in the National Care Standards and adhere to the following ratios as a minimum:

Enchanted Forest Nursery, Erskine, is located in the tranquil and scenic grounds of Erskine Hospital Estate. A quiet setting, with accommodation, that has been purposefully renovated to fulfil the needs of a children’s nursery. Squirrels, rabbits and other wildlife can often be seen from the nursery windows. A secure outdoor play area is located to the side of the nursery. We are registered to care for 63 children each day. We work in partnership with Renfrewshire Council and can provide Scottish Goverment funded places for 3-5 year olds.

Located in an ideal setting, with private, off-road parking, as well as a large and secure outdoor spongy play area. Our accommodation is a new building that has been purposefully redesigned with children in mind. The nursery is located in close proximity to Rouken Glen Park and also proves as a great location for commuters being close to the M77 and near to Silverburn Shopping Centre. We are registered to care for 84 children each day. We work in partnership with East Renfrewshire Council and can provide Scottish Goverment funded places for 3-5 year olds. Enchanted Forest Nursery, Riverside Business Park, Pottery Street, Greenock, PA15 2ER Tel: 01475 741 228 Enchanted Forest Nursery, Greenock is a £1million purpose-built nursery. Every aspect of the nursery design has kept children in mind - all playrooms lead to a central spongy surfaced garden and natural light is maximised using low level windows for children to gaze out of. Ideally located off the main A8 through Greenock between McDonalds and Port Glasgow, Enchanted Forest is in a prime location for commuters. We are registered to care for 64 children each day. We work in partnership with Inverclyde Council to provide Scottish Government funded places for 3-5 year olds. Enchanted Forest Nursery and Out-of-School Care, Kip Park, Inverkip, PA16 0FZ Tel: 01475 529 900 Enchanted Forest Nursery, Inverkip is a purpose-built nursery which has been fully upgraded and modified by Enchanted Forest in 2012 when it joined our family. A large, bright and airy place where children can play and learn. Our location boasts great access to the outdoors, including exploration of the nearby nature trails and beach. Ideally located in a secure position just off the main A78 commuter route from Largs, passing through Skelmorlie, Wemyss Bay and Inverkip, Enchanted Forest Inverkip is situated above Sainsburys in Inverkip. We are registered to care for 76 children (15 of which are in our Out-of-School Care) each day. We are applying for partnership with Inverclyde Council to provide Scottish Government funded places for 3-5 year olds.
