  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups Check (PVG – formerly Disclosure)
  • References from previous employers

  • Verification of Right to Work in the UK

It is the duty of our staff to provide the best possible care for each child and family who join Enchanted Forest Nurseries. We are proud of our low staff turnover, this is a testament to the fact that our staff are happy in their role, enjoy what they do and have a passion for care and education. Our staff are the key to our success and as such, many have also succeeded in internal promotions.

Care Inspectorate Ratios

We are registered with the Care Inspectorate (formerly Care Commission) who regulate and inspect all care services. The Care Inspectorate inspect our services on an annual unannounced basis, at EFN, we value their feedback. We follow their guidance as outline in the National Care Standards and adhere to the following ratios as a minimum:

  • 0 – 2 years: 1 staff per 3 children
  • 2 – 3 years: 1 staff per 5 children
  • 3 – 5 years: 1 staff per 8 children
  • Out-of-School Care Children: 1 staff per 10 children

Enchanted Forest Nurseries operates above the ratio requirements as stated by Care Inspectorate in a bid to enhance the quality of care we provide.
