On Sunday 5th June, the sun shone upon Enchanted Forest Erskine and we were delighted to welcome over 400 families and friends to our 10th Birthday Party Celebrations for what was a truly memorable day. Families came from near and far from each of our nurseries to celebrate with us and also included many returning families who joined us up to ten years ago. Children who made some of their first friendships many years ago and who have not seen each other since leaving Enchanted Forest for Primary School rekindled their bond, which was a remarkable sight.
Our staff were on hand to help out with the many activities on offer including face painting, hair braiding, boat making, target shots, hop scotch and an Under 2s area. To make the event extra special, we arranged for a train ride, owl handling, a petting zoo, tuck shop, and bouncy castle, all making it a day to remember. We had special visits from the Scottish Fire and Police Services, who kindly allowed our children to explore their appliances, some of our Dad’s nearly got taken away in the back of the police van, just as well they made it out!
Entertainment in the form of singing, dancing, magic and lots of laughter was provided by the famous Mrs Giggles who made a special appearance and made a lasting impression of kids of all ages (as well as their parents and our staff!).
Thank you must go to Sugar Snaps for providing a delicious BBQ. Enchanted Forest staff were a credit to the nursery both in the preparation for the event and during the day, some of whom even participated in ‘I’m a Nursery Nurse Get Me Out of Here’ challenge (yuk!)
Helen Bogan, Enchanted Forest Parent commented “We really enjoyed the birthday bash. It was so perfectly put together for little people…our daughter loved the bouncy castle and train in particular. Thank you. It was a brilliant idea excellently executed….you even managed to do it all in the sunshine!”
Mariessa Devlin, Managing Director added, “Bernie and I feel very grateful to have reached our 10th Birthday with such incredible support from our families and staff. We aimed to give something back to our families by providing them with a day to remember. It was a fun-filled day with a tinge of pride for our staff who got to welcome back some of our original Enchanted Forest children some of whom are moving into Primary 6 and 7. There was a party atmosphere on the day and everyone looked to be thoroughly enjoying the festivities, a memorable day was had by all. A huge thank you to our team for their support and to all of our families who made along on the day.”
